With some of the boys still a little dejected from the first game this was the ideal opportunity to get that result out of their system. With a much changed side Scissett matched up to their opponents however still found themselves a goal behind early doors. It would have been easy for heads to drop however SJFC regrouped and upped their game to take full control. Following a couple of fine saves from Conor, Matt appearing to win everything in the middle of the park with his no nonsense tackling and with Lewis influencing things with his excellent distribution it was Adam and Frankie who came into their own on the right hand side with their excellent link up play. It was this that lead to the equaliser with a lovely ball across the area by Frankie leading to an emphatic finish from Lewis. With spirits visibly lifted and with a majority of the play taking place in the home sides half it was no surprise when SJFC took the lead through Lewis's well executed left foot volley from distance. Lewis then turned provider, beating his man out on the left flank and sending across an inch perfect cross for Frankie to sidefoot home leaving SJFC to take a 3 - 1 lead into the break. However things didn't quite go to plan after that with Skelmanthorpe scoring 3 unanswered goals in the second half to eventually run out 4 - 3 winners. We should however highlight the positives rather than concentrate on the scoreline: Lewis's drive and determination, Matt's unstinting work in midfield and Adam and Frankie's confidence growing with some excellent link up play.

It was a close call but with his first goal for the club the coaches' vote for MOM went to Frankie.

Final Score: Skelmanthorpe 4 SJFC 3 Man of the Match: Frankie

Goals: Lewis (2), Frankie (1) Assists: Lewis (1) Frankie (1)
